Wallis and Futuna are located close to Samoa. These remote islands are administered from New Caledonia. There are more Wallis & Futuna natives living in New Caledonia then are left living in their homeland.
The islands still have three traditional Kings and the symbols of each are located in the scroll on the patch shown below. The French Gendarme who come here from from New Caledonia for 6 month assignments are the major law enforcement service on the islands. Each King does have his own Municipal Police Service.
