Formerly the Ellice Islands, Tuvalu is one of the world’s smallest independent nations. The nine coral atolls it includes are located about 1,000 kilometers north of Fiji. Tuvalu’s Police Officers wear a British style cap badge with the Tuvalu Coat-of-Arms. Police officers were issued patches in 2003. Please be aware that someone in Spain has made a poor reproduction of the official Tuvalu patch. The fake patch, also shown below, is done on felt material. The real patch is 100% embroidered and has the maker’s label on the back under the plastic.
