Pitcairn

This legendary island which was the hideout of the HMS Bounty’s mutinous crew, is the most remote place in the Pacific. It is southeast of Tahiti and about midway between Peru and New Zealand. Pitcairn Island has a total Police Force of one officer who is also the Customs and Immigration Officer.  Pitcairn Island is a protectorate of New Zealand and they had a problem on the island several years ago so the New Zealand Ministry of Defense sent an officer to the Pitcairn.  As far as I know they still have an office assigned here.
